Is it necessary to tip in the ryokan?
There is no custom of tipping in Japan, so it is not necessary. Personally, some people may hand over money or something else as a token of thanks.
Can I smoke in the ryokan?
Smoking is only allowed in designated areas. At this ryokan, that means the lobby and smoking rooms only. Non-smoking rooms are available upon request.
Can I wear a swimsuit in the onsen?
You cannot bathe in the onsen while wearing clothes or a swimsuit. Please bring a towel.
Are there amenities (shampoo and conditioner) available at the large bath?
Yes. Soap, shampoo and conditioner are available at the large bath and all family baths, as well as room baths.
Can I pay with a credit card?
Yes. VISA, MasterCard, NICOS, UC and Diners Club cards are accepted.
Is it possible to request a send-off service to the station or bus stop?
We do not provide send-off services. Please use public transportation or a taxi.
Are there English-speaking staff members?
Yes, there are. Please feel free to ask them anything.
Are there any places nearby to eat at night?
